This afternoon we went to Nanna’s house for an early dinner. The occasion was to watch the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony, but there was no time for anyone to watch TV between Claudia and I entertaining everyone!

This evening, Mum and Dad were watching as I played with my wooden blocks and then all of a sudden, I stacked up one on top of the other! They clapped and cheered and got very excited!

This morning I went with Mum to the clinic while she had a test for gestational diabetes. She had to drink a bottle of sweet stuff and then we had to wait an hour before she had a blood test. In that hour, I made good use of the basket of toys they had in the waiting room and I was really ready to go by the time our hour was up.
After lunch Mum took me back to see Jan the Physio. She was pleased that I am now crawling (since we last saw her) but she said I need to “cruise” lots before I will walk. That means that I need to walk along holding on to things like the couch or the coffee table. Funnily enough as soon as we got home, I did a little cruising of my own accord so perhaps I’ll be walking sooner that you think!
Brushing my teeth isn’t my favourite thing and Mum and Dad seem to have developed a routine of doing it while I am in the bath. Tonight Mum was also brave enough to put a finger into my mouth to check my teeth. She found 2 new ones which she didn’t know about, I now have four molars!

This afternoon I had a fever and was sick. It was a warm day anyway and so Mum and Dad decided to cool me down by putting me into my paddling pool. Although it was part of my recovery, I still had a great time in the pool. Mum thinks it is the fever which a few of us littlies get a week or so after having the MMR vaccine.

Today Mum took me back to the vaccination clinic for my MMR (Measles Mumps and Rubella) shot. It went into my arm but the lady in the white dress distracted me from the sting in the arm by ringing a bell and I didn’t even cry. We went home and I had a huge 3 hour morning sleep. Later on, Mum felt my teeth and she found that I have a molar on the bottom underneath the top one which came through a few weeks ago.
This afternoon we went to Playgroup from 3-5pm as usual. It was a really hot day and our Mums let us play in the water and splash in the shallow pool even though none of us had towels to dry off later. Then we went inside for our fruit snacks.

Since we were away in Mandurah on Tuesday and missed my usual swimming class, we went to a make-up class today instead. This meant that Dad was the lucky one to take me in the water and Mum watched, boy did I have fun today!
Later on we went to visit Auntie Rose and collect two book shelves from her basement. I’m very interested in the 2 new sets of shelves in our lounge room!

Dad had the day off work and so we had an extra long weekend. This morning we went to the playground after most of the other children had left and I had a great time. After my usual swing, Dad took me down the slide, on a seesaw with Mum and then Dad held me up for me to hold the bars on the jungle gym. Its a big fun playground! Mum and Dad had a coffee and then we headed back to the house for my morning sleep while Mum and Dad packed up and cleaned up.

More of the same… many more journeys up (and someone to help me down) the stairs and another late afternoon picnic dinner and swim at the beach. Ah, it’s a hard life!

We struggled through the hot night and I joined Mum and Dad in the big bed for my usual early morning bottle. Afterwards, I crawled across to the large floor to ceiling windows and looked out at the beautiful view of the sea and banged on the window as some people were walking along the path.
After breakfast, Mum and Dad took me for a walk in the pram along the seaside path. Mum was puffing by the time we got to the top of the big hill past the playground, so we didn't go any further and I giggled while Dad pushed me in the swing at the playground. By the time we got home, we were all hot and sweaty! I was going to say that we had a quiet day lazing about the house. That was Mum and Dad’s plan but I put a spanner in the works by crawling up the stairs (and not going down so well) and so obviously needing one of them just behind me to help out when I decided to sit on a step and celebrate my achievements thus far, forgetting that there were many more steps below me! Eventually Dad moved a couple of Nanna’s boxes of books into position at the bottom of the stairs to stop me racing up them and getting to the first landing before they realised where I was!
At the end of the day we drove to the nice sheltered bay at Doddi’s Beach and I ate my dinner on the picnic blanket on the grass and afterwards we all went for a swim in the water. Yes, even Mum went in the sea so that tells you that it must have been hot! Although I liked Dad holding me in the water, I had the most fun sitting on the sand at the edge of water with little waves breaking over me with Dad there just to stop me toppling over if there was a big one. Squeals of delight!

This morning we went to the toy library on our way to Mandurah. I have had a great red car for the past 2 weeks and love being pushed in it around the garden, but today it was time to return it to the toy library. Since we were on the way to Mandurah and didn’t have a lot of space in the car, Mum got me a small yellow ride on car this time.
Rick and Michelle and their boys Josh and Samuel are hopefully coming to spend the weekend at Nanna’s house at Mandurah with us too. It looks like its going to be hot weather all weekend. Since Nanna isn’t here, we’re all sleeping upstairs, Mum and Dad in the big bedroom and me in the walk in robe (also known as Nanna’s knicker drawer) next door.
