Today I had my 6 week checkup with the Child Health Nurse. She was very impressed with my progress and I smiled and charmed her too. I now weigh 5.44kg and am 61kg in length. This is off the chart for height (length), perhaps I'll get my Dad to coach me at volleyball one day! (I think he'd prefer me to play tennis or golf for some reason!)
It was 39 degrees today and Mum and I were both sweating by the time we arrived home from walking to the clinic and home via the supermarket too. Luckily we now have air conditioning at home and Mum left me in my pram in the cool to sleep some more.
Once Dad came home from work, we all headed down to the beach for a picnic. I thought we were celebrating me being in the world 6 weeks but Mum and Dad were staring into each others eyes and declaring their undying love for each other so perhaps Valentines Day was the real reason. That didn't stop me from getting their attention every now and then. They had a swim and a lovely picnic and then we all lay on the blanket and watched the sun set. That was after Dad took some photos of me at my first outing to the beach! Today was memorable because I did some beautiful smiles for Mum and Dad when I was lying next to them on the picnic blanket.
