Today was Samantha and Jake's baptism. They wore clean white outfits and we all watched as they got their hair wet by a man in a long white robe. I was on my best behaviour in the church but everyone else mumbled 'Amen' and other words from time to time.
Afterwards we went back to their house for a BBQ lunch. No one had told me that we could chill out a bit at the BBQ so I was still on my best behaviour. I was asleep in my capsule on the floor, next to another capsule containing 2 week old Jacques. What a wee fellow he is, surely I was never that small?! I waited until Mum and Dad had eaten their hamburgers then I thought I would politely ask for my lunch. A lady nearby picked me up and I thought it was only right to make a bit of a fuss until my Dad came along to claim me and then I calmed down. Mum fed me, then Mum and Dad decided to take me home while the going was good.
After I slept, Mum took me for a walk and met Sandra and Norm from no. 78. They were out walking Sandra's new dog who looked friendly. We then walked along the path near Herdsman Lake. It was a new walk for us and Mum said there are plenty of birds there for me to see once I can sit up in my pram.
They gave me a bath just as Nanna and Poppa called in to say hello. They were on their way home from Mandurah, and are off to Canberra tomorrow. I had an audience for my bath which was nice and Nanna commented on my cute little wrinkles and then helped dry them. I had been so good all day that I couldn't do it any more and cried on and off all evening, but eventually slept until 4am.
