My day started with an unscheduled bath because I showered myself with wee when my Mum was changing my nappy this morning. After breakfast, Mum and Dad went to City Beach for a swim, I slept soundly while Granny looked after me. It was 40 degrees today and so we stayed indoors and tried to keep cool until the family BBQ this afternoon when Nanna, Poppa, Auntie Kate, Uncle Alan, cousin Claudia and even Molly the dog all came.

I had just finished breastfeeding when everyone arrived, so I said hello to everyone before Mum put me back to bed. I could smell the sausages and fish on the BBQ and everyone seemed to be enjoying the evening. Unfortunately for everyone else, I wanted to join in the action and I didn’t settle until after they’d all left. Granny had made a birthday cake and brought it from New Zealand for Dad, they put 37 candles on it and lit them all for Dad to blow out after they’d sung ‘Happy Birthday.’
