Today the air conditioning units were installed in my bedroom and Mum and Dad’s bedroom. I woke up at 8am when the drilling started. After I’d been fed, Mum took me for a walk in my pram. When we got home, my bassinet was in a different room and I was a little slow to settle because the drilling kept waking me but I eventually fell asleep.
There was so much dust and mess made from the drilling that all I could hear all afternoon was Granny with the vacuum cleaner, but at least I knew she was getting my bedroom nice and clean again for me. The installers only left just as Dad got home from work at 6pm so he wheeled me back into my own bedroom.
The nice people from the Family Assistance Office deposited the maternity payment of $3042 into Mum and Dad's bank account today. That was quick work processing our application form!
