Mothers Day!
Our day started with Dad collecting me from my cot and putting me in the middle of the big bed between Mum and Dad. Depending on how keen I am for a feed, sometimes I lie there happily under the doona and other times I kick like mad until I get it off me and then continue to make it known that I would like to be fed! Today I lay between Mum and Dad happily while Mum opened the card with a picture of a mother and baby rhino which Dad had bought for her and written what I dictated for Mum "Deer Mum, i no sum times i wake up in the midl ov the nite so i bort sum jiffees for the winter munths. luv max". Mum loved the Jiffies (slippers) and perfume that we had bought for her. Next Mum took me to the couch for my liquid breakfast while Dad headed to the kitchen to make blueberry pancakes with maple syrup for Mum's breakfast.
This morning we had a photo shoot... Mum took my clothes off and laid me on my tummy on a towel on the table while Dad took photos of me! This was because they always comment on how cute I look after my bath when I'm lying naked on my tummy while Mum massages my back. This is always in the evening, so today they did it while it was light and took photos!
For lunch we went to Kings Park and met up with Nanna, Uncle Alan, Auntie Kate and Claudia for a Mothers Day picnic lunch. Auntie Kate had done all the cooking and everyone said how nice the food was. Mum sat in one of the chairs and fed me and then Mum passed me over to Nanna for cuddling while she had her lunch. We saw a kookaburra swoop down out of a tree and steal a piece of sandwich from a (very surprised) man's hand. Then the kookaburra sat on the grass near us and shook the sandwich around to break it up. Mum took some photos of the cheeky bird.
