After breakfast, Mum and Dad drove me to Day Care and left me there for my first whole day. Mum showed Dad the routine, where to hang my bag, sign me in etc because she thinks it would be best for all concerned if Dad drops me at Day Care on Wednesday mornings and she will collect me at the end of the day. Today and next Wednesday are our practice days before Mum starts work the following week.

I ate beef goulash for lunch - how flash is that?! Soon after, Mum came to breastfeed me and wondered why I wasn't very interested?! I heard Mum tell Nanna that she also came to visit me mid-morning but I was asleep. Mum kept herself busy all day, shopping for groceries, going to the physio, visiting Auntie Kate and Claudia and doing various errands. She managed to wait until 10 past 5 before she collected me and then nearly smothered me with kisses and kept telling me that she loved me for the rest of the evening - maybe Day Care is a good thing! When Mum opened my bag, she found a surprise. I had painted her a picture this morning at Day Care and needless to say Mum was very touched! My picture is blue and yellow and it is my interpretation of the West Coast Eagles winning the Grand Final this weekend. Carn the Weagles!

Also in my bag was a sheet detailing the times I slept, what I ate and that I had 1 bowel motion today - all the important information that devoted parents like mine need to know! After we got home from Day Care I was really happy and smiley and played with Mum until I had a bath and went to bed so I think Mum feels a bit better about the whole thing now! Mum said to Dad that I'm like a little sponge because today after eating just one meal at Day Care, I picked up a new habit. I poke out my tongue just after Mum has put a spoonful of food into my mouth, this appears to exasperate Mum because she gave up trying to feed me my chicken and vegetables and went straight on to the yoghurt - yum!
