Today is Fathers Day and Mum bought a really geeky book about prime numbers from me for my Dad. He thought it was very cool! Maybe one day he’ll read me a bedtime story from it. We also bought him another book called Good Breeding which is photos of show pets, mainly cows and bulls but also sheep, pigs and goats with their owners which Dad really likes too.
This morning after our family snuggle in the big bed, we all got dressed and before I could protest that Mum had forgotten my weetbix, we were on our way in the car! Dad drove us to Oceanus a nice restaurant by the sea and Auntie Kate, Uncle Alan and Claudia were there too. Mum whipped out my weetbix and milk and I sat in a high chair and ate it all down, followed by mashed banana. Meanwhile Mum and Dad were taking relays bringing back platefuls of bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, pastries… I didn’t see where the food all went but the plates ended up clean. Nanna and Poppa are still in Sydney so we called them on the phone and wished Poppa a happy Fathers Day too. He said that he loved the photo frame that we sent him. It holds 40 photos and you slide the tray in and out and then a different photo is on display. This means that he can flip endlessly through photos of Claudia and me!
We've had a pair of brown ducks visiting our garden in the past few days. They seem to wander the street and get fed and watered in various gardens. When they don't eat all the seed we leave out, there are doves and other birds which peck away at it too. My fourth tooth is well on its way now and so Mum bought me a toothbrush. It seems to be Dad's job to brush my teeth before I go to bed and I sometimes like to help him by holding the brush as he moves it around on my teeth, it tickles!
