Today is Christmas Day!
This morning after breakfast, we went to Auntie Kate and Uncle Alan’s house. There was a big tree in the corner with pretty ribbons and decorations on it and underneath were lots of pretty boxes and other things of all shapes and sizes. Mum sat me near to take a photo and I started to pick up and poke a few of the parcels to see what might be inside. It turned out that wrapping paper was the best part and I had a great time playing with it despite all the different presents which were soon unwrapped. Some of the biggest presents were for me! Uncle Alan and Auntie Kate gave me a paddling pool and a big bag of coloured balls to fill it, or I can have water in it for splashing too. Funnily enough Mum and Dad got me the same present! Nanna bought me a ride on bike which I can also use to help me learn to walk and it plays music and talks too.
Everyone had presents to open, until the whole pile was gone and there were lots of pretty wrapping papers for me to play with! It was all quite exhausting but Mum and Dad had brought my portacot, so I went upstairs for my morning sleep. When I woke up, there was lots of time to play with some of my new presents, Claudia sat with me in my pool full of coloured balls and we had a lot of fun, especially throwing them out onto the floor. Claudia and I had our lunch and then we kept playing while everyone ate at the big table, a beautiful lunch cooked my Auntie Kate. After lunch, and a long while playing on Claudia’s swing (hint hint: my birthday is coming up!) I went upstairs for another sleep while everyone else lounged around to rest their full bellies. Christmas can be tiring!
